Drive Away Service

Let’s say you’re looking for a way of getting your trailer across the country, but don’t want to actually tow it across the country. Not to worry, Bluestar Auto Movers is proud to offer driveaway service to our customers alongside our other shipping and transport options.

Transporting Your Trailer

Bluestar can transport recreational vehicles such as pull behind campers, fifth wheels and toy haulers.

Bumper Pull – Blue Star offers the option of pulling your trailer with our trucks. All of our trucks feature class V receivers rated for approximately 20,000lbs gross tow weight. Trucks are compatible with 4 flat, 7-way and 8-way plugs and feature state of the art brake controllers to ensure that your cargo is safe.

5th wheel/gooseneck pulling – In addition to bumper pulls, Bluestar can also transport your 5th wheel or gooseneck trailer. Contact us to discuss transport options.

Delivery and Pickup

When you deliver your vehicle to the driveaway office, keep as few personal items as possible with the vehicle. The company will document the vehicle’s condition and note any defects. After your vehicle is transported to the destination, you can pick it up. Make sure to thoroughly examine your vehicle beforehand to compare it to its pre-trip condition.

Will Driveaway Service take longer than regular Auto Shipping Service?

Bluestar Auto Movers’ Driveaway service essentially operates as a brokerage service, contracting local professional driveaway drivers who are licensed and insured  and employing them to deliver your vehicle. Typically, Driveaway service will take a shorter amount of time on average than Bluestar’s regular shipping service.

Is Bluestar’s Driveaway Transport Service Responsible for All Damages incurred, if any?

Liability coverage is negotiated between the contract driver and the vehicle’s owner upon pickup. Bluestar only employs Driveaway drivers who have provide ample proof of certification, insurance, and a clean driving record. In any case, you should always inquire about their liability, and carefully review the agreement so as to be knowledgeable about what exactly may or may not be covered.
